Suvla is a family owned wine producer located in Çanakkale Province in Turkey, on the historical Peninsula of Gallipoli in Turkey. It was established and run by entrepreneur Selim Zafer Ellialtı. Progress is not possible unless the entire family is on board, in that sense Pınar Ellialtı Suvla played a major role in strengthening the brand, focusing on the ingredients and overseeing every design detail, from logos to labels.
Suvla started in 2010, and the first wines went on sale in 2012. The vineyard hosts Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Grenache oir, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne rapes, as well as the local Kinali Yapincak and Karasakiz grapes. There are more than 30 wine varieties produced at Suvla, some from single grapes and some from blends.
Suvla located at a geography that is full of history from ancient times to modern days. The winery is approximately 10 km away from the vineyards, and this proximity is important for preserving the high quality of the grapes and for creating château-style wines.
